    Hey Alex,

    Happy to help!

End Inventory vs Min Line should work in this case. However, it also depends on how you are calculating your safety stock.

    • If it’s based on days of cover, future demand is already factored in, so that should be accounted for.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

    Najilah, thanks for the info!

In general I want to flag any Series that has or will have at some future period an "End Inventory" that is less than the "Min Line". i.e. regardless of how safety is calculated (fixed value, stat, days of coverage, etc), I want to identify where we will be dipping into our safety stock. The theory is that this is a leading indicator to behavior that will lead to "Unsupported Demand". i.e. where are Series that we are deviating from optimal behavior.

    Hi Alex,

Then yes, the End Inventory vs Min Line would work for this use case. We actually have an attribute / exception that we can use to show when inventory is/will be less than Safety Stock. This is actually a part of our standard configuration.

If you need assistance setting this up, and to make sure that this doesn't clash with any of your other configurations, please reach out to our Support team for assistance: Support@JohnGalt.com

Isn't the standard config to to have an exception when inventory is/will be less zero (as opposed to less than safety stock)?

    Hi Alex,

My apologies for the confusion. Allow me to clarify for you:

    • This attribute is a part of our standard configuration OPTIONS.

    Hope this helps!
