Resolving the Visual C++ Error

Symptom

You might see a Microsoft Add-ons error appearing during installation of ForecastX with the following message:

"The installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package (x86) appears to have failed. Do you want to continue the installation?"

Solution

Steps to resolve the issue:

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. Fully uninstall ForecastX Wizard if listed.
3. Open the unzipped installation folder for ForecastX Wizard 8.
4. Execute the installer in ISSetupPrerequisites\{8A102FA5-9E73-477b-8937-2ED4C06AF304}.
5. Execute the installer in ISSetupPrerequisites\{83960519-644A-4722-BA7A-37D23C1D004F}.
6. Rerun the setup.exe file.
